been waiting with baited breath for several years now for this to come out! ordered my copy from amazon tonight. w00t! can't wait for it to come in the mail. :cool:In my Navy days, (ca. 1990) I spent some time in Brunei (adjoining Sarawak) and Penang right off mainland Malaysia. I was doing alot of intensive suburi and shadowboxing of aikido (about all one can reasonably do aboard ship). The deckhands laughed until I started the jo suburi and kata.
I was born and raised on the Gulf Coast, so I kinda thought I knew what "hot" was, and breezed through PT during what the Navy called "black flag" days when they kept the Yankees and midwesterners indoors at flight school. But OMG, I thought I would feel better if I just died right there while I was training in port at Brunei. If you are used to training in Arizona, and just decided to take a little trip to train in Sarawak -- trust me, you WOULD be dead. Nothing short of intense.
118 is 118 degrees. i laugh at all the people who say "but it's a dry heat" as they drop dead of heat stroke and hyponutremea at my feet. ;)
