Trying to wrap my mind around certain new terms Im encountering...

Suihei Uchi vs. Gyaku yokomen uchi
[Its the same technique, but curious what Suihei Uchi translates as]

Koshi Nage Kote Hineri
[I have found that Kote Hineri is the same as saying Sankyo - albeit the actual translation Im sure is different]

"Suihei" (水平) can mean "horizontal, level". "Suihei-giri" is a horizontal cut.
"Kote Hineri" means wrist twist and is the "descriptive name" for technique usually called sankyo or sankajo.

Koshi Nage Kote Hineri

Never heard the term, but you know that koshi nage set-up where you use the sankyo grip to extend uke up and over? Reminds me of that..

That is strange as that is the typical way I do shiho-nage... anyway, thanks. :)
