That was my thought as well.

I had the same thought. I also noted he reminded me of O Sensei in a couple of ways -- his size, his strength, and a certain charisma apparent in photographs.

"Charisma" - could that also be considered an aiki aura? :)

not to crash your little bandwagon party; but that's what i thought too. i wonder what Dan would say.
If I had to extrapolate; I wonder aloud ....i think that this would have been massive unrefined amounts of IP (Internal Power) only that he developed. Or...maybe he was really coordinated. Don't know. I do not know that i think it likely it would have the 'very soft' ghostlike quality that i hear accompanies this.(IS/aiki? /Martial Arts training). Does this make sense?

what would a teacher do with such a man? Would it be good; or bad; or neutral? the body development was there in an overabundance; but it is raw; and untrained. (or is it? would the developing of it have forced him to keep the body in balance; and learn that skill? is it so much more? (my lack of understanding is astounding to me too!))
..But i intuitively feel that if it were aiki he was developing in his body; he would also have had an increase in sensitivity. in and of his own body, pressures; and tensions. maybe he didn't do anything with them...there was no 'container' (i.e. Martial forms), and no body method ('shenfa')...or he just defaulted to one. I heard there are many different shenfa. Is there one that is strongest; that you may default to. (The load the dantien and fire it forwards to launch mingmen is probably not one of them)

probably would have been a good student in any MA.
disciplined and a damn good worker.

he discovered the 'secret' of something. that's for sure. Or maybe it was just work hard for 20 years; and the secret will reveal itself. Hey..wait a minute...that sounds familiar.. Isn't that the famous 20yr. technique.?

i remember someone saying don't bet on the art; but on the student. perhaps; 'where there is a will there is a way'. and that itself lit the path. I think there's more to it. Seems Joe Rollino also had an Iron Will.

That was cool. Thanks a lot for posting this Ricky.
