In 2009, Ellis Amdur was one of a number of people interviewed for Keigan Production’s DVD project, Remembering Terry Dobson. http://keigan-productions.com/3/miscellaneous5.htm
Because of time and production constraints, only one sound bite of Ellis’ rollicking interview was included. Here we offer it complete on CD, 45 minutes of stories, sacred and profane. As always, Amdur views things on a slant – you will not get a hagiography or testament to a spiritual journey – rather, reminiscences of a mentor and a friend, a man of earth and salt, well worth knowing, even through means such as this.

Just got my first order for the CD and found, to my dismay, that it had been set up to levy additional postage. In fact, postage is included in the $12 purchase price. I've rectified this - there is no additional postage levied. It's $12 flat. So if anyone tried to order and was put off by the additional charges, they are removed.
Apologies.

Mine arrived today without any problem - and about a week earlier than expected. I immediately popped it into the player and started listening. It was very much like sitting in my own living room with an old friend, listening to a tale or two. I've seen videos of Terry Dobson, read other accounts of him and the accounts by Amdur Sensei too. Listening to the CD from one who was there at the time and is trained to understand human motivation, strengths and weaknesses was a treat. We've all spent much more money to watch a crappy movie - this is a bargain!

I got mine yesterday.. I've found Ellis' writing to be extremely entertaining and hearing his voice/stories of Terry Dobson were also quite fun. It is a great 30 minute character read of a man that obviously I will never know but was a great character.. I wish Ellis would have expanded on the Knights of the Mouldy Rope story (that is if there is anymore from Dueling O Sensei).. That is one of the best little ditty (his letter) I've ever read. The price is so inexpensive, this is most worth of an aikido collection.
