Hello everyone!
Well, the title speaks for itself. Would you be so kind to share your tips on how to pack light for a five day aikido seminar; how do you manage sweaty uniforms, how many do you need, and everything else you can think of.
Thanks, thanks... Yes, you guessed it right, planning a trip abroad to an Aikido seminar.

I'd bring at least 3 gi tops and 3 gi pants, hang dry gi #1, #2 so you can use them again on the 4th and 5th day. Take good showers and apply tons of deodorant so you wouldn't stink up gi #1 and 2 so bad that they cannot be re-used ;-p

Two gi's and pleny of T-shirts to wear under them.
Rotate the gi's morning and afternoon, hang to air when not in use. Use deodorant, shower each day, wear a t-shirt under the gi top to absorb the sweat, reducing the sweat passing into the jacket.
That used to work for me when I was doing a 3 day gasshuku, mid summer in Japan.

If you can find a laundromat local to where you're staying, you only need one!

depends on how much weight you're allotted. best bet, if you can skip the hakama, do so.
if you can handle it 2 pairs of thick gi, 1 thin gi. and 3 sets of white t-shirts to wear inside and lots of underwear. Wear the shirts inside for the morning session and get rid of them for the afternoon. Or sometimes I reverse the order, depends on how much you sweat really.
I always remember the smell in our hotel rooms when we go for this kinda things. Last time I went to tokyo we had 3 to a room. Every spare wall was hanging a gi to dry... it was interesting.
Laundry detergent.
Tiger Balm.
Tape.
A good book.
Snacks.
Beer.
