Is anyone going to the seminar in Eugene in October that Chiba Sensei is doing? Just curious.

Won't be going to that seminar but I just saw Chiba sensei in Montreal. You'll have a fun time with him.
I was also at the Montreal seminar. Good training, Chiba was in a good mood. Szczepan gave me a bloody nose. You know, solid aikido :)

My sensei is trying to talk me and my husband into going. I just don't know if we can come up with $200, hotel and boarding for our dog. Sensei wants us to go pretty bad because he even mentioned us going to watch. :) We shall see...... I have never been to a seminar before (only been training for 6 months) and I haven't had the chance to meet Chiba Sensei before either.

Going w/ 6 months training is actually a good thing. You may feel overwhelmed but you will also feel inspired.

Sensei asked me again last night if I am going. I am begining to take the hint... HAHA. He told me to speak to his wife about a scholarship for my husband and I to attend. We will just have to see if we can swing the rest. :) I appreciate all of your advice.
I am pretty certain that if we can go, I will be lost, but I think..... sometimes it is good to dive into the the deep end of the pool. I may not be an Olympic swimmer, but maybe I will be able to doggie paddle my way through the seminar. HAHA.

Don't even hesitate, you will not be lost. Sensei is always teaching basics, so everyone finds something to work on, at his own level. He is one of the most charismatic aikido instructors I've ever met.Don't forget to take your weapons and the knee pads.

Your welcome, and I'll return the thanks. Training with you and some other of my Aikido de la Montagne friends pushes me out of my comfort zone, in a good way.
Ashley. Szczepan is right. I went to my first big seminar after only two months of experience, never regretted it.
