What really happens in the Aikido Cuban Association

People of the Aiki Webs i wanna let you know about the Aikido Cuban Assosiation,,the president Carlos Sosa Zayas is directing this organization like a Tyrani,,in others countries in the all World are diferent sistems of Aikido like Yoshinkan ,Takemussu Aiki ,Tomiki ect... but in Cuba they dont allow to practice others sistems only the Aikikai,,,,, i beleve that everybody got the rigth to train any sistem that he wants to.
the secret is just they dont wanna lose control and the people could compare what they really teach ,,if any Sensei wana contact any international Sensei of another scholl they make if live mirserable and traid to invol them in political situation to destroy his name.
This is a just a small picture of all situation.

I see your located in Miami Aikikai.
You see many people even today have doubted that there existed Aikido in Cuba, I have pictures with two of the representitieves, in a visit to Colombia, so i wonder if it's the same man i spoke to about the Arts along side of his Uchideshi..

Keep in Mind that the Aikikai, exist for a reason as badly as u want a new style to enter the Island you must understand that O'Sensei our Founder left the Aikikai and it's representitives in Japan, in charge of the teachings that are to be spread through out the world, though the teachings have modernized to accomadate the people of today, know it is Hombu Dojo whom you need to pay your respect to, and the AikiJinja where your prayer's belong.

As for Cuba in perticular I know they have been influenced by Yamada Sensei, My Self though memories fade, and from what is told to me a Teacher from Isreal was the one whom croosed that line to bring the Art into the heart of the Island.

Politics will be what they are, ignore them if you must. Know that reagrdless of the Art Style they all lead towards the same path of Enlightment, it is up to the individual to make the best out of what ever is accessible, knowledge is the beggining stage of Wisdom. If you dedicate to your path no matter how small of a hit of wisdom, the Laws of Nature state that, it'll Naturally reveal it Universal Wisdom.

Hence fourth, do the best with what you can, and when the new doors open make a change. Infact I see this troubles you greatly take it upon yourself to make a change for the best if there is a lack of Wisdom offered to the people, but be sure it's a lack of and not a wanting of the unknown, Like i said Aikikai is Hombu Dojo, there is no other Art left in charge by O'Sensei, other then those whom continued by his side all through out his life even in Iwama, at the AikiJinja.

Infact to make things a little clearer, make change by finding teachers to broden the minds of students, and the Teachers of the Aikikai in Cuba. Second, know that the Aikikai of today at the top is our Doshu Moriteru Uyeshiba, Grandson Of O'Sensei himself. See it as you never knew the blessings of the Aikikai that exist in Cuba with the little resorces available or lack their off.

Something is better then nothing, and a great smile came to me knowing that Cuba had accepted Aikido into it's Island by hearing it throught the words of their representiteves, as they told me the stories of the many miles people walked just to recieve a few hours of trainning, this is dedication that unfortionatly people of the States rarely know of, the modern live ajust laziness with accomidation, a terrible mix for any Artist of a desired Path.

I know this will not be easy to accept but it must be so for now do the best you can, there is no need to stress over the unavoidable simply blend with it and redirect it's flow on a possitive out come for the future of people and our Arts Representation there.

hi folks! choto mate kudasai!
don't mix up politics in all that matter ;
first let me tell you i was sent by Tamura Sensei to examine the first cuban black belts(1997) ;yamada sensei came later on .according to Carlos i can't say that yumak is totaly wrong but first this attitude rized because of plenty self named "sensei" guys that where opening schools of their own fancy (like in many other countries on mercantile bases) without real knowledge or ethics in transmission ; including a guy pretending having 7th dan directly from ueshiba sensei during a trip to Japan ; problem was that the guy did travel to Japan 2 weeks four years after O'Sensei death!!!!!!
i did teach Aikido in cuba to many diferents styles pupils ; Cuban are real "samurai" and aikido is respected by all other schools i had best teaching exchanges with salvador del karate , robertico del wushu y some guys from judo . Accepting difference is part of Cuban culture this is why we may only be sorry for Carlos's attitude ; sure that some day he will change Aikido willnot !
