I am about to buy my first Aikido gi and have been looking at the ones available from Nine Circles in the UK.

Has anyone used these gi?

Here is a link.

I wear one of these (well, the slightly cheaper one in the Tengu line), and short of something from Bu Jin, I wouldn't wear anything else.

The weight feels perfect for Aikido for me (I don't like the heavy Judo gis), and the short arms are ideal. It feels very nice on indeed.

I use the Kendo-gi top,
as it is classy way of keeping the front closed,
and it is very reasonably priced.
So far the ties (?) have held up,
approximately a year of training.

The gi's are the best that you can buy in the UK. pricewise as well.
the shorter sleeves make them excellent for Aikido and the material is very comfortable

I have their intermediate and 10oz (karate fabric) gi's. The intermediate is immensely comfortable, and a good weight. The 10 oz one is also good, but shrank a little more than I would liek when giving it the obligatory hot wash.

9 Circles are very good to deal with. Get your club to open an account!
