A bit of confusion... the 25th and 26th are a Friday and Saturday, respectively. Is the seminar actually taking place on the 26th and 27th of September?

Sorry for the confusion... the seminar will be on the 26th and 27th.
Thanks for catching that.

I've never been good with numbers. :(

We have had some inquires about hotels near the seminar. There are two very near the campus, the Marriott and the Holliday Inn.

Here are the links to the hotel's sights:

This is a freaking bargain people!

I still remember being wowed by Toby at the first Aiki Expo, and continue to be impressed by his technique, attitude and teaching style today.

Get there if you can. :D

Hi Chris,

Wowed? By little ol' me?

Seriously...If anyone has any questions or areas of particular interest , please show up and just ask. I'll be happy to answer any questions people have.

I've already received several inquiries about our internal strength exercises (Nairiki no Gyo). I will be happy to offer our slant on these controversial training tools and their proper implementation in greater budo training. I personally believe our omote versions of these kata are relevant study for anyone regardless of area of study.

Regards,

Toby Threadgill / TSYR

Neil says I'm easily impressed, but hey, I thought that demo was rad! :)

Hi Kevin,

Really looking forward to the VA seminar and sipping suds afterwards.

I'm not sure there's much I can give you to work on between now and then as written communication is such a inexact medium for this stuff, but I'll have several kihon kunren, nairiki no gyo and te hodoki to teach that you can work on between this years seminar and the next time I see you. I found these to be break through exercises for improving my understanding and application of taijutsu skills.

Just be ready to drink from a fire hose. I won''t be holding back.

Oh...and those coming to the seminar in LA or Virginia...Bring at least a bokken. I am firm in my belief that exceptional taijutsu skills require training with weapons.

Thanks Toby, I figured as much, but still had to ask as I already knew we'd be coming in drinking from that firehose.

Looking forward to it.
