It is my understanding that the Sandai Doshu is resigning from his post as "Leader of the Way" and disbanding the Aikikai to start up an MMA training gym. Condolences (or is that congratulations?) to all Aikikai members.

And, no doubt, he was videotaped talking trash at Chuck Liddell and St. Pierre and all the rest of them. What is "You want a piece of me?!" in Japanese?

Brilliant!
From now on the Doshu will just be called "The Dosh".

I imagine this is his answer to all those "effectiveness" threads. Perhaps he was inspired by Akebono's attempt at MMA even though Akebono lost to Mr. Gracie? Needless to say, I am inspired and would consider relocating to Japan to train in his new gym!

Unless of course he looses...Then he will be called something really close to Dosh, but with a more Long "O" sound.

Once Doshu gets the MMA gym up and running, he should teach these two a bit about timing, distance and the more important, getting off the centerline.
