I have not play aikido for the past two years.

Anyway I met my previous teacher recently and we chatted over tea/coffee.

He gave me a parting advise; you may forget the techniques, but you must never forget the kihon dosa (footwork)

What you guys maketh of this statement?

There are no techniques in Aikido and it's all in the body?

My guess is the meaning is to remember the basic movements you learn from kihon dosa practice.

That's what Joe will keep on ranting about, kihon kihon.

Some might believe in the you may never forget how to cycle kind of thing. But if you don't practice, you lose it boon. So get yourself to a dojo and train. It shouldn't be a problem, there's tons out there. So you can practice kihon to death.
