Nice footage of Morihei Ueshiba sensei demonstrating in 1960. Included is footage of Kisshomaru Ueshiba sensei demonstrating as well.

Fascinating film!
Who is the youngster training with the grown-ups? He looks pretty competent. Young Moriteru, perhaps?

That's what I was thinking as well.. in 1960 Moriteru Doshu would have been 9 years old, which fits the appearance of the youngster training with the grownups...

I would say yes. I couldn't see the face well but no one had that ram rod straight back that Sensei had and I thought I say a flash of his old flat top hair cut.

Hi George,
I just watched it again and see Saotome Sensei briefly but clearly in the shot of the group training sequence and again with Nidai Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba.
I was looking for that "ram rod" straight back myself:)

Just seen it and it is still playing after I pressed refresh a couple of times. Am wondering whether the western blackbelt is actually my sensei John Cornish (Hombu '58-'64)..difficult to tell as 49 years have passed!
