Join us for our 2009 Kagami Biraki seminar with Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan, 8th dan, Chief Instructor, New York Aikikai, and President, United States Aikido Federation. Renew your commitment to Aikido and its principles as we "polish the mirror" for the New Year!

Schedule: Saturday, January 10th, 1:00 – 2:30PM, 2:45 – 3:45PM, 4:00 – 5:00PM. Sunday, January 11th, 9:30 – 10:30AM, 10:45 – 11:45AM.

New 9th dans in Aikido would be a great idea.
Such may not happen any time soon in the Aikikai organization since according to their International Regulations (http://www.aikikai.or.jp/eng/regulation/international.htm), "Dan grades are from 1st dan to 8th dan."
