My daughters and I began making jewelry several years ago for fun, and decided to make a lot of jewelry in Martial arts and Japanese themes for the aikido winter seminar hosted by our dojo. It was a huge success and everyone loved it! We nearly sold out, but are now sharing the remnants from our thousand plus pieces that we made for the seminar and are still making more jewelry to share online.

If you have a dojo and would like to sell our jewelry in your school, please contact us and we will set you up with all the jewelry you would ever need at wholesale prices!

We have our jewelry set up on martialarts.etsy.com and have also been featured on aikidoonline.com .

I made several aikido designs, including the meditation design and a shihonage design that comes in the colored belt styles. Our dojo sells them whenever the kids test so they can have matching belt jewelry with their promotion.

I am looking for ideas to be able to earn our cruising money from selling aikido jewelry once our family is living on our boat and sailing from dojo to dojo around the world.

Thanks for the compliments!

For now I have been just making these at home with my daughters and sending them to people who order them on an individual basis. We do have several hundred of them!

However, my family is planning a world tour via sailboat beginning in the Spring and we will be traveling for as much of the future as I can reasonably foresee, meaning that sending things on an individual basis will become out of the question. We intend to do crossings lasting up to 4 weeks in the middle of the ocean, with no post office in sight!

We love making them and they are a lot of fun and people do really enjoy them.

I just need to come up with some other ideas for getting them out there to the community. We will bring some with us to every dojo we tour on our trip over the coming years and can wholesale them to senseis (especially the colored belt promotion necklaces) to sell in their dojo with gi and hakama and weapons and the like.

If anyone has any other ideas, please, post away!!!

OK, so I had mentioned to some of you that I would let you know when I posted new jewelry.

I finished posting about 50% of the 100+ new pieces we made. There will be more posted tonight.

I added bracelets to our "line" so if any of the designs appeal to you, but you want a bracelet, let me know and I will set it aside. I just do not have them photographed yet.

Hey Sarah! It's Anne Marie!

I just want to vouch for Sarah. She and her daughters train at our dojo and they do some beautiful work. Please do not hesitate to do some business with her.

Great work! But, I hope you got permission from Oscar Ratti to use his images.

Great work! But, I hope you got permission from Oscar Ratti to use his images.

Thank you!

Unfortunately, I understand he passed away several years ago. The two images I have that are based on his drawings are definitely changed quite a bit, since I redrew them by hand based upon a "facebook" gif someone sent me!

The remaining images (the aikido meditation images, fish images, sushi images, shiho-nage images, ninja images, waza images, bowing images, throwing images, etc. etc. on the jewelry and on the cards) are all drawn by me, either in pen or in illustrator.

The style of many of the drawings is very similar to that of Ocsar Ratti though, so I understand and am flattered that one might think they are his as well.
