Now that Christmas is approaching, I just want to ask: what would be the best aikido-related Xmas present you could have? Or, how would you aikido-fy your Christmas? :D giving out present shikko-walking? gingerbread men with hakamas? ;)

When I was a kid we were always told that if we were naughty, Father Christmas (a.k.a. Santa) would bring sticks to beat us with rather than presents. It’s funny, these days that doesn’t sound so bad. I could use a new jo. I just hope I’ve been bad enough.

:D

You'll be eating you words if santa can use a stick better than you.

Hello,

my son gets a knitted sweater with
:ai:
:ki:
:do:
on the front side.
Strange to see how much this aikido influences ALL domains of our life....even Christmas; I never thought about that before.

Best regards,

Eva

I hope you didn't mis-address your letter to the jolly fat man and accidently send it to Satan instead. :D

If you're playing Santa for anyone's kids or in a mall or sth I dare you to wear a red dogi and hakama! :D

I would love to see someone draw a really cool picture of Santa in a Dogi and Hakama! Anybody feel creative? It would make a great Holiday gift for all of us in the Aikido world.

It's not mine, and it's a black belt, not a Hakama, but this little Flash animation explains a lot about Santa and Rudolph...

My amazing wife (also a practitioner of aikido) is buying me a new hakama from Bujin! Every year prior to that it has been a new gi. I'm a lucky guy!

Merry Christmas,

Russ

Christmas day training would be nice. Especially to see everyone that day. Isn't it nice how the people you train with become family after only a little while?

Yes, Santa, I've been a good girl. I would like a weapons bag, and a Jo for christmas. Maybe a tanto in my stocking, too. :D

I would like an all-expense-paid trip to an aikido seminar... To include luxury hotel accommodations with private jacuzzi hot-tub... on-call masseuse.... and express cleaning for my gis.;)

My wife agreed that the whole family will go to St. Petes, Florida. I can train at the winter intensive while the kids and Mrs. can play in the warmer climate.

My wife is too cool! :)

A very nice Christmas present for me would be a set of Aikido Hickory wooden weapon with case from Bujin :D .
