Good morning to all AikiWeb forum members. I am teaching Karate Do at the Nishi-Nasuno Budokan here in Nasu-Shiobara City, Japan. The building has lots of section, Ken-Do, Ju-Do, Karate Do, Kyudo, Iai-Do and the Nasu Shiobara branch of Aiki-Kai. Lots of foreigners practices martial arts here specially in Karate-Do and Aiki-Do. There are lots of Filipinos in my class maybe because I am half filipino and I can speak fluent English and Tagalog. In Aiki-Do, there is a Malaysian, Vietnamese, Korean Etc...these foreigners communicate with their Japanese Sensei via Japanese language. But there is a certain Deshi, Erwin Astorga, who cannot even speak Japanese is practicing Aiki-Do at an Aiki-Kai Dojo here in Japan. He moves the way the Sensei moves and understands what the Sensei teaches. He said that the Aiki-Kai here in Japan is just the same with the teachings of His former Sensei, Rolando Dela Cruz of the Defenders Aiki-Do Federation in Las Pinas City in the Philippines.
I watched their session last week and saw how they move gracefully and now, I myself am planning to be a member of the Aiki-Kai.
Osu.
