Nihon Goshin Aikido was established by Shodo Morita. Master Morita recieved Certification in Daito Ryu by Master Yoshida Kotaro. Nihon Goshin Aikido means Japanese Self-Defense in harmony with nature. This style is focused on effective self-defense. Once the principles are learned the student can deal with attacks in many ways and each is correct. For example the student can flow and blend with the attack while leading the attackers energy into a joint lock or throw, or he can block and strike to the throat and kick to the knees. It just depends on the type of student and how they react.
