Hi all.
I just started my Aikido journey a few weeks ago and am new to much of this. I am not a complete newb though haha. I have practiced Chen Tai Chi Ch'uan since 2001 and hold Nikyu in kendo. I think my knowledge of those two arts has been the best and worst thing in contributing to my learning of Aikido. There is so much that is similar but still somewhat different that I can draw on my prior knowledge to grasp a concept but I also have some.... habits.... i won't call them bad habits but sometimes my muscles just won't cooperate in learning a new technique.

Anyway, more or less just wanted to say hi but would love to hear from folks who have had similar experiences starting out in Aikido.
