Hello Aikiweb Community,
I know there are a lot of natural disasters happening out there and there are people who are working hard to save their communities. Let's just take a minute today to appreciate our public servants who put there lives on the line for us. Firefighters, flood workers...........you name it. Let's love them a little more today!
Thanks,
Jen

We had an Anderson Valley volunteer firefighter collapse and though he was brought in to the hospital here in Ukiah he didn't make it. First casualty of what will be a very rough season in California.
My thoughts go to those who are hard at work on our behalf, my heart goes out to those whose homes are in danger. If you live in an area touched by these fires may I also suggest you consider a donation to your local fire dept?

Imagine, fires on the West Coast, floods everywhere else. A great living koan of 'Fire & Water'.

fire, floods, quakes, vulcanism, tornadoes and straight line winds, freak wave events and tsunamis, hurricanes and cyclones. All four elemental forces are way out of balance. They are happening with unprecedented intensity all over the world right now. There is much to meditate about and use loving intention to help mitigate the suffering.
I also ask (along with Jen) that we each take some time to pray for those who are affected and those who respond to the crises.

It's amazing the heart some people have. The people who choose these professions are in my opinion of the most noble in our society. It's even more humbling to consider that many of them are volunteers who have jobs and families like the rest of us and still donate some of the time they have left to help those in need while a good many of us (most) are content to let others give aid. This level of personal application is perhaps the highest realization of the ai of love.

Thanks Matthew. Both terms Bu Jin & Ai Ko come quickly to mind.
All along the road yesterday were heart warmng 'Thank You' signs to the firefighters in our area.
