Hi Everybody,

I am happy to report that Mary Heiny Sensei had her hip replacement surgery this morning. Everything went fine and there were no surgical complications. The surgeon used a prosthesis that will be good for the rigors of aikido teaching and training. I will post updates on her recovery from time to time at www.friendsofmaryheiny.org. On behalf of Mary Sensei, I'd like to thank the entire aikiweb community for coming together to donate raffle prizes, buying tickets, and so on.

All the best to everybody,

Garth

That's great news! Now she can soak up more of the positive vibes that are coming her way, and get back on the mat soon...

Update:

Mary Sensei got out of the hospital on Saturday. She's spending a couple of weeks in DeKalb before flying home. So far, so good - her pain is down and she's starting rehab.

Cheers,
Garth
