Hi. My Friends call me "Iking". My account was just activated/validated recently and I am looking forward to interacting with practicing aikidokas in this community.

I trained with the Manila Aikido Club (which already has its name changed at that time to Philippine Aikikai Federation) back in 1992 up to sometime 1996.

I am a (semi) student of the martial arts where I studied Karate, Arnis/Eskrima/Kali, Judo, Taekwondo and BJJ. However, I find Aikido more satisfying since it teaches you more than just steps or techniques but a "way of life" that is congruent to my Christian, Filipino Values.

Weather is quite nice these days in the UK. I was a faculty member of the UP College of Medicine from 1999-2006.

Always good to hear from Aikido practitioners in the Philippines.
