Well, after a long year, we have finally got the second DVD of the series out. This one is on the 90 Degree and Behind Principle and will be done and available for sale on the Aikido Principles website (www.aikidoprinciples.com) starting about 1 June 2008.
We took everyone's comments to heart and made some changes to the way things were done in this second DVD. I hope you all approve. We think it is much better and does a lot better job in explaining some things. I hope to have a seminar on the 90 degree principle in Florida during the month of July and one in Sussex, England in August of this year. I hope some of you can attend.
Please look on the website and if you decide to try the DVD, please give us some feedback in the "dvd reviews" section of this website - just click on the hotlink to the right under "Reviews." We should have the product announcement up about the first week of June.

Thanks,
Anxiously awaiting the completion of the distribution copy. I got to look at a first edit the day before and was blown away by the work done by the producer/editor - Robert Bergman. I hear that the distribution copy is slated for completion by the weekend and should be available off the website by the 20th.

The DVD is now available off the website at www.aikidoprinciples.com. It is also available as part of package at any of my seminars. There is one in Florida in July and another in England in August.

I just finished reviewing the DVD for the first time. It is a fascinating review of proper positioning to maximize technique effectiveness, and may be the very best DVD on this subject that is readily available. The level of detail and depth of Rocky's explanation of these principles is, again, remarkable. The DVD is very well filmed and expertly shows each point being made. It is well worth the cost.

I want to thank all you folks who bought the first DVD on Kamae. The proceeds were just used buy 20 rubber tatami for the dojo in Jamaica and they were sent down there last week. The folks in Jamaica were working off of four old tatami with holes in them for the longest time. Now, with the help of Mike Ellefson of the Aikido Bukou Dojo in Minnesota and their donation of 10 mats from the benefit seminar and the 20 mats from the sale of the first Aikido Principles DVD, they have 30 mats to start up a real dojo. We expect them to be moving in to their new location in the next few weeks.
Again, thanks to you all, the Jamaican Aikido Federation has a real chance at good strong practice. If you ever get a chance to go down to visit around Kingston Jamaica, make sure you visit them and teach a class at their new Spanish Town dojo. I am sure they will appreciate all you have done for them and would welcome your visit with open arms and great jerk.
