Hi, I'm Phil. I've been training in Yoshinkan Aikido for 6, going on 7 years at the Makotokan Dojo in Halifax, NS. I first discovered Aikido through a program at my school, where Aikido was taught as curriculum (a private school. it later became an elective when they started offering yoga as an alternative). I'm now in university and train at the actual dojo under the same instructor.

I'm currently 4th kyu, and will be grading to 3rd at the end of this month.

Any other Yoshinkan Aikidoka from Canada here?
