Hi!. My name is Jeff and i'm studying aikido in San Francisco under Robert Nadeau Sensei. I've only been there a month or so, although I studied (briefly) on two previous occasions, once at the same dojo a year ago and once at Aikido of Alamo under Scott Berg Sensei. Although I don't recall what first prompted me to learn Aikido, its philosophy of aggression neutralization without the addition of unnecessary violence is what kept me interested. Although I've studied Isshinryu Karate (as a kid) and some BokFu, I've never felt as at home studying as I do now. I won't wade into a discussion of "the best martial art", as I think it a pointless debate, I will say that Aikido is the best martial art for me. I've read a number of other threads on this site, as well as some articles, and I am impressed at the level of discussion and reflection that occurs. I look forward to much more of the same!
Hi Jeff,
Welcome to AikiWeb and thank you for your introduction.
