Aloha from Hawaii. My name is Glenn Tango. My sensei is Kubo Sensei Shihan. I have been training in Aikikai style since 1965 with a break for college. I belong to the Kailua Aikido Club and Aikido of Hawaii International. I just participated in Meiji University's camp in Hawaii with Yasuo Kobayashi sensei teaching. Since then I have been been very enthused about Aikido again. Glenn

Shany, Koichi Tohei Sensei was a very charismatic and dynamic individual. His personality was that he would take on all comers in the early days of aikido. So he was good at introducing the art in Hawaii and the US. He did alot of ki exercises and demonstrations such as the unbendable arm. He would do alot of exercises that you do not see today. Glenn

I love Tohei! that it is very amazing to hear from anyone who had been studying with him!

Glenn, did you see any manjor change in Aikido as for today, than the one that you were experienced 40years ago ? Sure tohei did more ki related, but the foundation, how much do you think has changed? regarding to methods, styles, teachers?

and.. mabye you got some pics from those old times with tohei? :)
