Hey guys, just an introduction and some advice really.

My name is Martin. I live in Scotland and have been training martial arts for some years now, mainly BJJ, muay thai, aikido and lau gar (some may say a strange combo but I disagree).

I've been giving some thought though to starting a school but i'm not sure the best way to go about it. What is the best way to seek out premises? Whats the best way to find out what new students want etc etc. The list of questions goes on and on and on so if anyone can give any advice, it woud be very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Martin.

Onegaishimasu Martin. Starting a dojo is an ambitious undertaking. It is very helpful first, to have something to teach. The next important thing is to have credentials. Not every student can be a teacher, that type of thing. The third thing is salesmanship. Then there's financial management; what can you invest without worrying too much about profit/loss? Good luck.
