:) Hi there, hope it's alright to remain anonymous.

I live in Australia, Melbourne in the Western side. 20 years old.

I'm basically interested in learning Aikido, however, I'm not sure how I go about finding a good instructor. I've seen a few sites for the ones in Victoria (my state) but it happens to be a far distance to travel, upwards of 1 hour, the ones that I find that are close doesn't seem too professional (hope I'm not being rude).

I was wondering what criteria I should look for when finding an instructor? I'm hoping for some single lessons first to trial it out before moving into a group session, just to know the basics.

Thanks~

Let's see Melbourne eh! You definitely can't go wrong with Shudokan (http://www.aikidoshudokan.com/shudokan.htm) or any of her satellite
dojo(s).

Xu, Thanks for the quick reply.

That was one of the first sites I saw and I like what was offered.

However, the locations are remote, when I meant western side I'm like 20-30 minutes from the centre of the city. Sunshine.

Shudokan doesn't seem to have any within my vicinity :dead:
