Shodthug? Hardly. That's Kashiwaya sensei, hachidan in Ki Society. This video was taken when he was sandan.
Cheers!

I see benefits doing what was shown in the video. Relaxation, healthy exercise quite like Tai-Chi to keep the body supple and healthy. I am not gonna laugh at them aiki-bunnies... coz I know when I am well in my 60's I am gonna be an aiki-bunny too.
Boon.

Nice with the gyroscope. That's a key to an essential ingredient in aikido.
I remember, years ago, that I convinced a friend to use the gyroscope as a symbol for his newly formed dojo. Through the years, I have become forgetful of its importance. Center of the universe.
I will try to consider it in tonight's class :)
Hey Jun, how about the video forum?
At this point (and as I wrote before (http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12002)), I have no intentions of creating a video forum. I think it's easy enough to take a look at the URL being posted to discern, for the majority of the time, whether that link goes to a video or not (eg Youtube, Google Videos).
As far as gyroscopes go:
