Hey all,
I'm pretty new to aikido, and I'm having some difficulty with the tobi ukemi. If possible, I would ask my sensei/sempai. However, my japanese skills are sadly lacking. So, if anyone has any advice on how to keep a tobi ukemi from turning into a headfirst dive into the mats, I'd really appreaciate it.
Thanks in advance

But not too soon, or you'll end up doing a really big breakfall--which is still a lot of fun!

1) Bow, until your hand can touch the mat.
2) Imagine that you're holding a beachball in your arms.
3) Tuck your head in.
4) Push off with rear foot and roll over your forward arm.
This should be enough for now.
