This is a bit of a late announcement, but the White Oak Dojo & Oakland Aiki-kai will be hosting a public seminar with Rod Uhler, shihan in Hakuho-ryu (formerly Hakuho-kai Daito-ryu). The seminar will be held September 22nd & 23rd (yeah, that's this month) at the Oakland University Rec Center in Rochester, MI.
The Saturday seminar will focus on Hakuho-ryu empty-hand work, while the Sunday seminar will focus on Sokaku-den Ono-ha Itto-ryu sword work.

Hakuho-ryu Aiki-budo was founded in 2002 by Okabayashi Shogen, kyojyu-dairi in Daito-ryu. Obayashi-sensei had the unique experience of training under both Takeda Tokimune and Takuma Hisa, and was one of the few instructors to receive menkyo in the Ono-ha Itto-ryu portion of the school's curriculum. The Hakuho-ryu curriculum was also influenced by Okabayashi-sensei's extensive research into traditional samurai body mechanics.
