I'll be in Hokkaido for about a year. Does anybody know of any dojo on the island? I'll be in Oumu, which is up by Abashiri and Monbetsu.
I'm sure there are places to train in Sapporo, but that's kind of far for me to drive.

The easiest way to check is to use the dojo finder. I would try to highlight all the entries then paste them into Excel then do a search or filter. I don't know the cities in Hokkaido so some of the entries I'm not sure where they are. Also, from what I understand, Daito-ryu is big in Hokkaido so you might have to study that art. Abishiri is where Takeda Sensei's dojo is located.

Thanks!
As far as I knew, the main dojo in Abashiri closed down years ago, after the head isntructor's death. Then, reopened in Tokyo.
I believe there is still a branch dojo there, though.
