Not always ... went to a secondary school where we called all teachers by their first name. Lost any type teacher / student etiquette nearly eighteen years ago.

With respect to the books, I haven't read the last one yet since it's not available until later this month and I've read all the others out loud to my wife and will again someday to my children.

True - but I did keep my last gi top because I had had it for so long and taken 2 test in it and then trained with it some more and then it finally tore one day. It had been through alot.

The next person bought a gi that was too big and no matter how many time they washed it, it still wouldn't shrink down to size.

half true, I walk with a permanant limp anyways due to a road accident, occasionally the limp changes sides when I hurt my other foot.
