Is there anybody out there?

My univeristy major back in the 1980s was Japanese. Spent a lot of time in Japan, then Korea, and am now in New Zealand. To cut a long story short, I am re-training to be a Japanese teacher and am in dire need of Japanese language teaching resources. If you know of any useful online sites, dictionaries, downloadable lesson plans etc. please let me know. I would particularly like to find a site that allows me to download heaps of large-sized kanji to make some cards for students etc. Or, any useful book titles suitable for high school kids?

Also, how can I make my computer type japanese? Guess I need to download the font from somewhere.

To start the ball rolling, I have found these sites:

Cheers in advance ...

I'm a beginner in Japanese, but the online source I'm using is supposed to have lessons for seasoned speakers as well. It's a free Japanese learning podcast:

You might like to try this location

I'm not sure whether you are running Windows, and what version... but XP has built-in support... Just go Control Panel->Regional and Language Options. Under the Languages Tab, install files for East Asian Languages. In the same tab, go to Details and Add Input language for Japanese. I think it automatically sets the Keyboard layout/IME to Japanese, but you might like to make sure. If you did it successfully, you will see 'Japanese' under Installed services, and the Keyboard should have at least an IME Keyboard attached.

Good luck :)
