Relevance
From any particular viewpoint, energy is either relevant or irrelevant.
Irrelevant energy is neither approaching or receding, nor has the immediate potential to come or go. Irrelevant energy requires monitoring.
Relevant energy is either approaching or receding, or has the potential to come or go. Relevant energy requires action. Relation
Approaching Energy
From any particular viewpoint, approaching energy radiates, repels, or pushes, causing compression. Approaching energy is equalized by the qualities of receding.
The qualities of receding are to absorb, enclose, match, or to open.
Absorbing energy means to take force in and distribute it. Absorbed energy can be directed as a motive force.
Enclosing energy is to surround in such a way as to neutralize the coming and going. Enclosing is not the same as holding fast. Holding fast means to resist the coming or going. To enclose or encircle is to contain the energy at its boundaries without resistance.
Matching approaching energy is the way of retreating from a force until joining with it, moving along the same trajectory at the same speed. Once joined, force may be directed with minimal expense of energy, if the forces are proportional and rightly configured.
Allowing energy to pass means presenting no obstacle and minimizing resistance to progress. Openings are created such that force may proceed either through or around.
Absorbing, enclosing, matching, and opening may occur singularly or in combination.
Receding Energy
From any particular viewpoint, receding energy attracts or pulls, causing tension. Receding energy is equalized by the qualities of approach.
The qualities of approach are to infuse, penetrate, match, or pass.
Infusing energy means to enter in and be distributed within a system. Once the energy is appropriately distributed, it can then be applied as a motive force.
Penetrating energy is to enter into openings and concavities of the receding energy, avoiding barriers, blockades, and obstructions. Penetrating is not the same thing as breaking, or violating a boundary. To penetrate is to go only as deeply as permitted.
Matching receding energy is the way of advancing toward a force and joining with it at the same trajectory and speed. Unified forces may be directed with minimal expense of energy, if the forces are proportional and rightly configured.
Passing is the way of moving through or around a situation. Openings are sought or created, while obstacles and paths of resistance are avoided.
Infusing, penetrating, matching, or passing may occur singularly or in combination. Relativism
From any particular viewpoint, approaching and receding tend toward equilibrium, whether in motion or at rest.
Complements
Whatever approaches also recedes.
Whatever recedes also approaches.
Passive Action
An object at rest which repels acts with approaching energy, and will be retreated from.
An object at rest which attracts acts with receding energy, and will be approached.
Active Passivity
Objects at rest together, without attraction or repulsion, will be free from
compression and tension.
Objects in motion together with common speed and direction are the same as objects at rest.
Right Joining
Absorbing and infusing must balance.
Enclosing and penetrating must be proportional.
Matching is always reciprocal, even when not volitional.
Right Separating
Opening must allow free passage.
Passing must follow free openings.
Opening and passing transform relevant energy into irrelevant energy. Ross Robertson
