Tool attack/defence?

Greetings from Minnesota. I've heard lately that there's some video out there about the lead singer of Tool being attacked onstage during a show. Reportedly he decks the yahoo with shihonage and pins him while finishing the set, then has the stage security guys haul him off. Anyone have a source/ web-site or maybe can de-bunk the story? Thanks.......

I just haven't seen an attack - it looks much more like a part of the show. or probably a fan who wanted to perform in the gig, and now he can tell everyone he wants, that he was on stage. :D

Rather than adopt an aggressive approach and have his security bum rush an overenthusiastic fan, Maynard comes in flips the guy, secures him, and continues the concert, singing through the rear naked choke and (later) the mount. The guy isn't hurt, he enjoys the show and now has an amazing story to tell to everyone he knows. Technically it was BJJ, but that's pretty much what we're all aiming for in aikido, right?

Edit: Oh, and hello to Pete! Nice to see someone from Twin Cities Aikido Center here. TCAC got me started in aikido, and I try to set aside a day for training whenever I'm back home. Maybe I'll see you there some time this summer!

I don't know. But I remember seeing Nick Nolte, Sean Penn, and some other cool actors onstage here in SF doing a Sam Sheperd play a few yrs back, and Sean needed to deal with a drunk family member and it was a pure kotegaishe :-)

Actually I didn't see any aggression from the fan. He looked like he was standing on the stage with his arm in the air cheering for the singer. The singer got close to him miming as if he wanted to give him a friendly hug, but when the fan accepted the hug he found himself victim of a koshinage.

I mean, that was no place for the fan and maybe security would have treated him worse, so maybe the singer saved him from a beating...but it was a thrown done to basically a man standing, just like throwing a plastic doll.

Just my 2 cents...
