View Full Version : Aikido Video Clips Links Category
Hi everyone,
As it looks like people are interested in sharing links to aikido video clips, I have created a new section in the AikiWeb Web Links Directory (http://www.aikiweb.com/links/) for Aikido Video Clips:
http://www.aikiweb.com/links/browselinks.php?c=62
Please feel welcome and encouraged to share links to your favorite aikido videos with other folks on AikiWeb by using the Submit a Link (http://www.aikiweb.com/links/addlink.php?c=62) function on that page.
Please note that only links to aikido-specific videos will be accepted.
Thanks,

OK... I made a short video of me training as nage. I spruced it up with some music and titles. I figure what better place to post it than on here for a decent critique. I'm currently a kyu3 nearing the kyu2 test. At our dojo, hakama is given out to males at kyu3 so thats why I'm wearing one.
here it is:

Hi everyone,
Rather than listing your video clip link here in this thread, please use the Submit a Link (http://www.aikiweb.com/forums/../links/addlink.php?c=62) function in the AikiWeb Links Directory.

Jun,
perhaps if you posted the above information on every thread started with a link to a video...maybe folks would get the idea.
thanx

Jun, I believe that everyone wants to post their links as a thread in a forum. So hey, how about a Forum for Video links?
squeak.....squeak.....squeak.....

Once again, as I wrote in response to you earlier today, I have no intentions of creating a video forum.

well, then it looks like people will continue to post video links all over the forums, and peple like me on dial up will continue to open threads thinking that there is a discussion subject only to find a link to youtube, and continue to be annoyed that we had no way of knowing that it was a total waste of time to open the link.
thanks
Hi Jo,
Please understand that the forums here are divided primarily into subject matter (eg General, Language, Spiritual) -- not the media type in which people wish to disseminate said subject (eg text, picture, video, link).
I regret that you feel like you are wasting your time opening such links. Perhaps you might want to encourage people to start using something like a "Video:" prefix in their thread subject when they do post such a thread with just a video link?

!. Hey Everybody!!
If you are posting a link to a video, since there isn't a video forum, could you please do those of us who can't watch videos due to being on dial-up, PLEASE could you put the disclaimer <video> in the title of the thread you are posting? I really hate opening Discussion threads only to find a youtube link. Thank You
Now, lets see if this works.Maybe if we also ask nicely people will stop trolling, flaming, making statements about arts they don't study or personal comments.Or perhaps we can ask them to put a disclaimer <flame> in their thread title.
Really, wouldn't it just be simpler to have a place to post and discuss video links?

Simpler, perhaps. In line with the design of my website, perhaps not.
