How many people here have had the opportunity to train at the Aikikai Hombu Dojo? Any thoughts or suggestions for someone who is planning on making the trip?

I trained there from 1991 - 1997. It was a wonderful experience! I recommend it to everyone especially those students of Aikido that would like to teach some day.
