All right. What do you have to know in order to understand me rightly?

Well, my name's clear and my proffession is student at a german university. I got the brown belt in Judo and maybe I'll do my Sho-Dan exam sometime this year :cool: . I've also been to Aikido, Ju Jutsu and other martial and civil arts to see what their training is like.

Why I'm here?
there was an article abot Steven Seagal and I thought the author of it is really right. If you kwon anything about Aikido you'll be totally misled by the techniques he's shown and used in his movies/films - and most of all the spirit that his techniques show about AikiDO( :do: ) :confused: . O Sensei Ueshiba'd never have been using Aikido the way he does - cos aikido should ONLY be used in selfdefense and only to show the attacker that his attack is in vain - not kill or hurt him [as far as possible] :mad: !

Am I right or not??? :(


And please do me a great favor: answer as honest as possible - even - or rather especially - when you'd have to say "No, that's not my point of view. You're wrong about that."

Steven Seagal in his movies, is just taking a role. Like a actor he is. He's not necessarily taking a role of an aikido guy (as far as i know)

Steven Seagal, when not filming, he doesn't kill persons, right?

So, probably M. Ueshiba wouldn't mind about Seagal's Aikido. Its just another aikido ;)

I've already placed some post in one of those Forums and the answers were really great! Nobody herer really cares about that I'm just a supid Judoka who shouldn't really be knowing anything about Aikido or even O Sensei Morihei Uyeshiba.

This is a typical counter-technique calles "Ushiro-Goshi" which means approx "Hip-Counter-Throw".
