Hi! Just registered here and dropped in to say hi.
I am from st. john's newfoundland, Canada. 23 years old and trying to find a style that I want to study :freaky:
I have been researching different forms of martial arts for a while now and have it narrowed down to aikido, and jeet kune do. I really can't decide what to do. I love the whole philosophy and idea's of aikido and the performance of it, it's great.
But... I also love the same things about jeet kune do, I always loved this style and I always wanted to do this kind of thing, and the aikido came along which is like the opposite of it, so now I don't know what to do :D
Any help from people out there that have pondered this type of thing before?
Thanks

I left the rock the year you were born. Never did go back.
I suggest do both at least for a little while and then see how you feel. A little on mat experience goes a long way. In both cases I would not pay that much attention to the written philosophy. Its how you feel during training that counts.
Hi Mark,
Welcome to AikiWeb.
