Posted a new video to my site, thought you all might enjoy seeing the roots of Aikido in the technical flavor of Seibukan Jujutsu. The foundation of Seibukan Jujutsu is the Hakko Ryu Jujutsu kata, another descendant of Daito Ryu Aikijujutsu. Some techniques and variations of techniques which were removed from Aikido can still be seen in Seibukan.

Sword, jo, tanto, hanbo, and gun were some of the weapons used, and the taijutsu includes both kata and multiple forms of henka (variations). I was also a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the time, and you can see a bit of that art in my choice of submissions. Enjoy!

Ron,
I've had similar issues in the past with Quicktime Pro 6 and trying to play something in 7. Perhaps it's a version issue? Never hurts to reinstall, just to make sure it's the latest. Hope you get a chance to see it, Ron. If you can receive a file over 10 megs, I can also send it to you directly!

Hi Roy, the email server won't let that big of an attachment through. Oh well...if you get a version other than quick time let me know!
Best,
Ron

Hi Roy,
Nice demonstration and website. Well worth the look. I had to upgrade to QT7.0 to view, but that worked.

Hi Roy, I like that clip. Very nice waza. Was that Julio Toribio's dojo? I thought I saw him taking ukemi...
Have you seen the Ogawa ryu clips that are out there? Some interesting comparisons. The one thing I didn't like was the abruptness of some of the editting. But I don't really know anything about that stuff, so feel free to ignore.
Best,
Ron
