During a seminar, I have found it easy to revert back to my "usual" patterns of doing techniques, moving, and thinking on the mat rather than attempting what is being shown. When this happens, I make an effort to watch what the instructor is doing and try what they are demonstrating. The differences in approach are oftentimes more important than their similarities. Bears Repeating.
In the same tone, I'd add keep your mouth shut (excepting introductions) until you and your partner have changed roles twice each. Trying to do the above ("attempting what is being shown") and then having it critiqued by a partner's idea of what it should be is at its worst when you've only met them 10 seconds prior.
thanks for the list.

As a seminar goer, glad to see you add your own voice here, and I look forward to sharing the mat with you again.
