Hi Fellows,
A few days ago, I was told that I am going to be send to Japan for a business trip by my company for 2 weeks, between 11.11 - 24.11.
It has always been my dream to go to Japan and train at least 1 day at Hombu dojo. First week I will be in Tokyo, and second week in Osaka. I hope that, I will at least one day off to train aikido there :D
To get maximum enjoy from this trip, I ask for some guidance from people living there. Probably I will be at "TOYOSU IHI BUILDING., 1-1, Toyosu 3-chome, Koto-ku, Tokyo, 135-8710". My questions are:
1. is it close to Hombu Dojo? and will I be allowed to visit and train as a guest for 1-2 session?
2. Do I have to take my Dogi with me? Or could I wear jogging cloths etc?
3. I have more questions (like places I should visit, things I should know before I come etc), can I send private message to you, anyone living in Japan?

You're always welcome to come to train at Abe sensei's place in Suita city, Osaka. He teaches every Friday, and the first and 3rd Tuesday of the month. Ig you give me a date I can make a request for a visitor - unannounced visits are not allowed. Regards, Gernot

If I had a chance to train there during a business trip, I'd question whether I'd bring anything more than a business suit, and my dogi. Sweats would not suffice. Try this link:

Please take you uniform home with you each day. Uniforms can be purchased at the front desk, though any white martial arts uniform is generally acceptable. The link has other answers for visitors from overseas. Anyhow, enjoy the trip!
