Kabayan, Welcome,
I started when I was 44yrs and I even have to get my doctor's approval (because I have a herniated disc) before I was able to join. I'm enjoying it and been at it for over two years now. The ukemi, (forward and backward rolls) were a little rough at first but I'm getting better at it. You'll find that if you get into a good dojo with good instructors, you will have a blast.

Polly,

I am 43 years old, and I started training five years ago. One of our most senior instructors did not begin training until he was 56 (I think), and he still teaches and trains at age 78. Assuming you are basically healthy (ask your doctor if you are not sure), I would not worry about age. Go for it.

My sensei is in his fifties, and he's amazing. Just do what you are able to do, and try to improve. Have fun. :)
