Hmm. Interesting. First off, they'd never let me train, as I am an atheist thru and thru.

Anyhow ...

Silat is a well-documented system, coming out of Indonesia, and there IS a large Muslim population there, so a Muslim version isn't a real stretch.

I've been reasearching it for a while,some interesting reading in "Asian Fighting Arts" by Don Dreager.
They did some real damage to the invading Dutch and Japanese army's in Indonesia...

Wow, those demonstrations were awful. I would recommend he train in real islasmic martial arts like baji or tantui.
