Well hey there ki-full and wonderful aikiwebbers. This is Kim here. I am a born and raised western Massachusetts (Berkshire County to be specific) leaf peeper. I began studying aikido in 1997 with Ron Ragusa and Mary Eastland and am currently enjoying the nidan life. I am also certified as an instructor by our founder of Berkshire Hills-Ryu Aikido, Sensei Ron Ragusa (he's somewhere on this list). I teach at our local community college as both an aikido and Self-defense instructor. I just began teaching at the college as Mary Eastland (Sensei and co-owner of Berkshire Hils Aikido) passed it on to me. I have a masters in social work and have a strong commitment to social justice, human rights, and anti-opression work. I'm definately a radical feminist and an out lesbian. Other fun things I do besides tossing ukes and being tossed in return? I play the blues harmonica and cook up a gourmet storm in the kitchen. When just plain relaxing nothing beats Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons, Star Trek (orignal and new series), and the British comedy series Absolutely fabulous. Ok enough blathering on about myself....
