Hi everyone, I am kind of late to start martial arts i think, i am 34 yrs old and never have proper training at all. Well, besides when i was 6 yrs old and took 2 classes of Karate...haha...don't want to count that as i learn anything.

Well, anyway I am going to take my first lesson soon. Hopefully I will not injure myself... like twist my wrist or break my neck.

Ivan,

Wow I'm 34 years old and I just started out this week as well. I also took five classes of Karate when I was eight years old. Guess that makes me old :sorry: and a late starter as well.....better late than never. Good luck.

like twist my wrist or break my neck.

You won't twist your wrist or break your neck.... other people will do that for you :D

Just joking. Listen to your instructors and listen to your body and you'll be fine.

Have fun,

Bronson

Bronson, at the risk of going off on a tangent, who said the quote you have got as a signature, its really really good. I once met a guy who was 78 and a black belt at tae kwando he started when he was 70 so you all got loads of years left in the tank yet.

Welcome Ivan.

Since i live in South Florida, I properly will take the classes from the Aikido of Palm Beach County. They are the nearest from my home. You know, it is not a lot of Dojo around here, especially in Broward County. And I found out a lot of the martial arts schools were folded! i try all those numbers from the yellowpages most of them are not working, wonder why....

"Old Dude"you are still young...wait till your 60+ then you might consider yourself to be maturing,as
for Aikido take it easy, you will last alot longer and have more fun and less injuries...
