Forty something guy. Training for about five years (just passed 1st kyu test). I'm a husband and father of four, a business man - Land Surveying in the DC metro area. USAF Dojo is Western Maryland Aikikai - I train under John Simpson, Sensei. We are an affiliated Dojo to Capital Aikikai under Shihan Takeguchi.

Both are great guys, both on and off the mat. Did you test as recently as the 10th of June? I was there the saturday before hand, wish I'd been there to watch though. Welcome to Aikiweb :)

Michael, I agree. No, my test was the previous session in April??? The June 10th tests were fun to watch; two solid sho dan tests and Donna Grant's san dan test. It was a privilege to witness.
