I hope this doesn't start a fight or anything, but i seen at the movie store the other day that he has a nother 3 or 4 movies out.

come on now. Are we relay running out of actors to the extent that him and others like, van dam and chuck Norris, have to start making movies again. they are too old and focus more on putting the movie out at mass production rather taking the time to write a good story line. if anything we should be seeing more of this Tonny Jaa fellow. I think it is time for seagul and others to stop acting or make a better script.
Remember this criticism is about them as actors and directors, not Martial artis.

Hello
One could argue that the same trend happens in “normal” movies, besides traditionally martial arts movies, with a very few exception, are pretty much like porn movies.
I.E Tragically pathetic plot linking more or less convincingly action sequences that have little to do with how it is done in reality and that are trying tobe more daring than ulterior productions.

I heard that this very last movie had more of aikido techniques since, I believe, Above the law; the very first of the movie that shows his dojo.

you see the thing is, when i go to see a movie I dont want to see the same thing over and over. thats why i dont watch a lot of action movies anymore. now him and chuck norris are working together. I mean Chuck faught Bruce Lee for peats sakes. I reszpect the fact that it is there jobs, but cant they take a little more time to develop the plot. I mean if i do a bad job where i work i would get fired. I respect these guys, but really like Van dam making a nother movie come on WTF. Blood sport is over. Simply i am not impressed with these guys any more as actors. got make sure i through that in there. lol Can you guys tell me truthly that you enjoyed the last few seagal films or Norris. Any ways as usual that is just my opinion.
have a great day, no offense intended.

I have no problem with aging MA actors at work: my problem is the work that they put out.

Norris and Seagal? Mostly they put out crap.

Jet Li? Oh yeah: lemme in on the front row.

Jackie Chan? He's still good: but he's losing his edge.

The problem, IMO: is NOT the aging actors...the problem is the formula's that they endlessly spew. But, IMO: this is less a symptom of aging MA's who think that they can act, and more a product of Hollywood, which cannot seem to find an original thought with a map, two hands, and a searchlight.

Oh, BTW: this was not meant sarcastically. Jet Li rocks.

I just finished rewatching "Kung Fu Hustle". Stephen Chow has the mojo.
