Hello from holland :) Been checking the website or a while now and thought it was about time to join up.
Train in a small dojo in amsterdam called Uchi Komi (which is just up the road and therefore very handy). Nice group of students. I have been practicing aikido for about 18 months now and am looking forward to going to my first seminars this spring and summer

Hi Gavin! Welcome!

My first seminar was a huge one in Montreal....400 people. I had been practicing for about 6 months, unranked, and had a knee injury, so I couldn't even take ukemi!

My first seminar was when I was training for four months, had just healed from dislocating my shoulder and did three hours of weapons work!
It is never too soon!

As soon as possible. Go, and learn what you can, see different variations on technique, train with new people. HAVE FUN!
