I've missed class for far too long. To the point that I was almost embarrased.
There were plenty of valid excuses but still just excuses. So tonight I finally made it back. Also it was my first weapons class which I've wanted to attend since I began in December.
It was great. It felt really good to be back. It didn't seem like I had been gone so long.
I forgot how good it feels and the great group of people at my dojo. We are also blessed with a great Sensei. Now to get back to regular training and go to every class possible.

First it was Christmas and I got a two week flu.
Now I keep working too late to even get to the late class.
Somehow I have to get back and keep a schedule.
One reason I began this was for more discipline.
But hey, I haven't drank or smoked since my birthday last Friday.
So must go to class tomorrow, stop work early enough (I'm self-employed)
and not be too hard on myself or be embarassed for my abscence.
Self victory one skirmish at a time...

Though I have just begun I had a nice return to classes after missing two weeks from a nasty flu. It was my first class with lots of black skirts. It felt really good to be back.
Still confused but had the guts to roll finally.

Tonight was my sixth class.
I'm really begining to enjoy Aikido. I still have no idea what the names of the techiniques are but
the total confusion is starting to calm down some. Counting to four is still somewhat difficult!
And remembering left and right also. The class tonight was very small, just four of us and Sensei.
I like that. Lots of personal instruction. More people is fun too. In general this is a cool dojo.
Lots of smiling and laughter. Definitely practice in a joyful and vibrant manner. Well I just thought
it was time to start this and see where it will lead to down the path.
